The next brilliant Sething event will soon be upon us

It is indeed that time of year again when the champion Bread Golfers re-emerge from retirement to take up the worlds biggest bred golf challenge – held every year in no other than Kingston – upon – Thames.

Test your golf skill by hitting dough balls towards a floating hole in the river on Sunday 18th November 2012.  No experience is necessary, just a £5 dough-nation, and a trio of bready balls are yours to thwack from the riverside at Kingston into the Mighty Thames. What better way to spend your Sunday afternoon but in the company of new friends and sporting legends!

The British Bread Golf Open 2012 takes place on Sunday 18th November 2012 at O’Mahony Square (next to Woody’s Bar) Kingston KT1 1HH between 1pm and 3pm.  Golfing attire encouraged.

This quirky event is in-aid of the brilliant charity Creative Youth; Aniela Zaba, Artistic Director of the Charity said:

CREATIVE YOUTH is a charity born from The International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) which was established in 2008 with the ambition to create a festival of national importance, showcasing youth arts (5-26yrs) of the highest quality. This year’s festival saw 7000 young people participating in the 26 day festival which transformed Kingston into a blaze of colour, spectacle and joy.  Creative Youth works throughout the year to support and mentor creative young people who wish to develop skills and successful careers in the arts and related subjects. We are always seeking out the most innovative, original and high quality projects and therefore to be involved with the world renowned sport of Bread Golf is the perfect partnership”

Chief organiser of the event Robin Hutchinson said;

 Is there a better way to end a year of fantastic sporting achievement than the British Bread Golf Open 2012? Now in its third year this event is already ranked up with the FA Cup, the Grand National and cheese rolling. Come along and take part and you might end the year as a world champion.”
